Artistic Representations, Asia 2

A Collection of Paintings, Illustrations, and Sketches of Bangkok

By Lizzie Davey @Wanderarti · On 23 April, 2014

Time for another in the ‘Artistic Representations‘ series. So far, we’ve only seen European cities, so I thought I’d bring you something from Asia. I’ve collected and curated a series of paintings, illustrations, and sketches from Bangkok to show you how one place can be viewed in so many ways by different people. If you have a request for a city in the ‘Artistic Representations’ series, let me know in the comments!

Lizzie Davey

Lizzie has a passion for visual vagabonding (a new term, maybe?), whereby she likes to document the beauty in the world via creative forms. She created Wanderarti as a space for this new term to flourish, providing somewhere for art and travel to collide. Apart from pretty things and exploring new places, Lizzie likes tea, takeaways, and cute animals.

What an interesting idea to show a place through art. I think it indeed shows a bit more of personal experience of the city than photographs 🙂

So glad you like it Ola! I could spend hours trawling through paintings of places 🙂
